About

Pocket Playlog started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other screenshots and complaints about touch controls. At some point we figured we might as well write it down properly, so here we are.

We test on a mix of phones — a couple of mid-range Androids, an older iPhone, and one flagship — because most people don't play on the newest hardware. If a game overheats or eats 20% battery in half an hour, that ends up in the review.

Games get picked for one simple reason: someone on the team actually wanted to play them. We don't chase trending charts. Sometimes that means a small indie title, sometimes a big release everyone's talking about.

No game gets a score until at least one of us has put real hours into it. We'd rather publish late than publish a first-impression dressed up as a verdict.
